A proper Ribera del Duero for less than £15.  Wonders never cease.  A luscious, mouth filling, black fruited gem.

An organic producer in Pesquera de Duero with a simple philosophy: look after the land and make cracking wine that doesn’t cost the earth. The bodegas’ name derives from the Roman term “Tionian”, given only to the purest of wines. Their vineyards are in and around Peñafiel and classically Ribera del Duero: a mixture of limestone and gravel at an average altitude of 800m with a big diurnal range (varying as much as 26 degrees in one day).

Just finished a glass of Austum (again), (Oh, and again) and it is a wine that just seems to keep giving at this price. Delicious and the bottle is now contacting the ≠MeToo movement because of the way I’m eyeing up the remains of its contents. It’s right to think its under threat.
